He is considered one of Turkey’s most important clarinetists. With his sixty-year career, he is without a doubt one of the best musicians in Turkish music. The young Mustafa made good money from an early age with his virtuoso clarinet playing. After moving to Istanbul, he became a star. His music is not limited to that of his native region Kocaeli. He also plays melodies from Anatolia, Thrace and the Balkans. All regions that were once part of the great Ottoman Empire.
