Today in An Early Evening Stroll: three early romantic piano trios by Russian composers. Alexander Alyabyev (1787-1851) was exiled to Siberia after a fierce fistfight. And Mikhail Glinka (1804-1857) could not stand the harsh Russian climate due to his poor health and lived in Italy and Spain for years. This is melodious music that you rarely hear.
