The wayward Prokofiev

A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century: Prokofiev.

In ‘Prokofiev: modernist on his own terms’, every fortnight an hour-long feature on the life and work of Russian 20th century composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.

In this episode: two of his last piano works before his departure to America in May 1918. And also a part of Stravinsky’s Tin Soldier that was premiered in 1918 around the time that Prokofiev arrived in America.  In today’s broadcast
