Charles Burney’s Travel Diaries. Episode 1: Introduction.

In March and April, Documento will focus on the travel diaries of music historian, composer and musician Charles Burney (1726-1814).
Burney is most famous for his musical travel logs in his ‘General History of Music’. These reports give an interesting insight into the 18th-century music life in Europe.
In this series, we will learn what Burney heard on his travels. Episode 1: Introduction.
