Today’s Music by Today’s Composers
On today’s program: a number of works by Finnish composer and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen.
Salonen is best known as a conductor, having worked with the Los Angeles Philharmonic (Orchestra) and currently working with the San Francisco Symphony (Orchestra), but he is also a composer with a very diverse repertoire. Today’s broadcast of Contemporary Music features three of his compositions.
