Slide guitarist Steve Dawson and violinist Jesse Zubot from Canada have been making their way as a duo on the frontier of Americana for years. Just after the turn of the millennium, they entered into a remarkable partnership with two musicians from the world of jazz: trumpeter Kevin Turcotte and double bassist Andrew Downing. As Great Uncles of the Revolution, the quartet made two albums: Stand Up! and Blow The House Down.
