Two hours of impressive chamber music by a variety of artists. From Beethoven to Escher, and via Brahms and Ravel, you will be present at Theater Kerkrade.
The recordings by Concertzender were made in August of last year. Conductor and concertmaster of the Dutch Bach Society, Shunske Sato, plays Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata, and after the glorious clarinet quintet by Brahms, performed by Alan Kay and the Rusquartet, we treat you to two major works by Rudolf Escher, whose music is actually played far too little.
Program details: Ludwig van Beethoven – Violin Sonata No. 9, Op. 47 “Kreutzer” Shunske Sato, violin / Shuann Chai, piano
