Music from Sardinia by: Tenore San Gavino de Oniferi | Actores Alidos | Totore Chessa & from Italy by: Paolo Conte | Mario Lanza | Ennio Morricone.
1- Tenore San Gavino de Oniferi.
The human voice is the first instrument man has had at his disposal. The Sardinian artists know this all too well. The TENORS choir is certainly part of that and confirms its value with the album we are going to listen to. The tenor singing usually takes place with the entrance of the soloist entrusted with the task of presenting the first verse and tonality of the piece, followed by the harmonies of the other components creating sounds with an archaic charm thanks to the guttural and meaningless syllables. The TENORS offer in a repertoire that respects the tradition of Sardinia where they come from.

2- Actores Alidos.
The repertoire of Sardinian women’s songs, presented by the female vocal quintet Actores Alidos, plays between tradition and new sounds. Songs to rock children, celebrate religious rituals, protect against illness, dispel the fear of loneliness, evoke passionate loves and ease their daily work with playful verses. The woman’s song, appreciated for its harmonic and interpretive beauty and especially for the valuable social role it played in the community, accompanies all stages of life, from birth to death. CD. 3- Paolo Conte.
In Europe, the Italian singer, pianist, composer and lyricist Paolo Conte has been a well-known and beloved musical personality for decades, but in the United States he only became known in 1998, when Nonesuch was released a Best Of Album. The album Reveries is also intended for the American market, it is a collection of classics from Conte’s extensive oeuvre. Paolo Conte’s musical pastiche is a unique mix of chanson, cabaret and jazz and is full of humor and fantasy. As a result, the smoky, relaxed crooner vocals and his nostalgic colorful music remain irresistible. CD. Reveries – Paolo Conte.
