In this version of JazzNotJazz, we have a specific approach to programming. We play long songs that might not normally get played as often. However, we still try to stay within the format of the program as much as possible.
JazzNotJazz is a program that creates a unique mixtape from 100 years of jazz recordings, with meaningful and sometimes meaningless trivia. It’s also about the soul of jazz, so we’ll definitely take trips into related styles. There are irregular recurring segments, such as “The Unplayed Standard,” “Ellington Train Songs,” “Jazz Cameos,” and “More is Better.”
