Conductor, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899-1974)

During the programme DUKE ELLINGTON we will listen to recordings from November/December 1962 and January 1963, released on the albums ‘Will The Big Bands Ever Come Back?’ and ‘Recollections Of The Big Band Era’, featuring songs by famous big bands from the 30s and 40s. Most songs were arranged by Billy Strayhorn.
