Pianist and singer Una Mae Carlisle (1915-1954) had a lot of succes during the late 30’s and early 40’s. She was working in Paris when she had to flee back to the US in 1939. From this period, we have recordings with her own combo and is accompanied by the John Kirby Sextet.
