Venice, the city of the Doges, is the place where the composer of this week’s CD wrote much of his music. His name was Giovanni Legrenzi and he worked there in the second half of the 17th century.
The Belgian ensemble Clematis rediscovered his music and made these recordings in Venice between June 2014 and September 2015.
