De Musyck Kamer, our live programme with Early Music, is back. This time the theme is the Utrecht Festival of Early Music 2014, with the festival director Xavier Vandamme as our guest. The broadcast is on Sunday 24 August from 15:00 to 17:00.
Guests
The programme was recorded in the Dekenkapel in the Pieterskerk in Utrecht. The festival director and programmer Xavier Vandamme will explain the theme of this year's festival and tell us about some of the concerts.
Johannes Leertouwer, the conductor of the Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, will talk about the presentations on authentic performances of Brahms music that he will be giving during the festival.
Live performances
There will also be live performances by ensembles who will be taking part in the the Fringe concerts during the festival including the trio Scaramuccia and Ensemble Oriana.
We will also be talking to the young musicians of Les Esprits Animaux from Den Haag about their projects.
