UJazz, ZenneZ records and TivoliVredenburg are jointly organising the Nieuwe Jazz series, with presentations of new albums. On Friday 2 May 2025, this will be Efraim Trujillo IV with the album Heroes. With his new band Efraïm Trujillo 4, the tenor saxophonist is inspired by famous colleagues such as Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane and Joe Henderson. A tribute to the versatility of the instrument. For this new quartet, Trujillo joins forces with his ‘Ploctones’ buddy Jeroen Vierdag on bass, pianist Sjoerd van Eijck (Mudita) and drummer Dirk de Nijs (De Raad van Toezicht).
