On Josephine Baker (1906-1975).
Last week, it was fifty years ago that the famous chanteuse died, which received much media attention in France. She was known as a singer, dancer and actrice, but was also part of the resistance in WWII and the civil rights movement in her home country, the USA.
In November 2021, Baker was inducted into the French Pantheon in Paris.
