Folk magazine about the present and the past, from freak folk to minstrels.
Korrontzi (Basque for ‘stream’) was formed by trikitixa player Agus Barandiaran. Trikitixa is a Basque variant of the accordion. Barandiaran studied with Rufino Arrola, who taught him respect for the musical tradition of the Basque Country, something he also strives for with the group he is part of since their beginning in 2004. Korrontzi combines Basque music with other musical styles and forms. For example, they performed with the symphony orchestra of Bilbao, but also with Basque DJ Makala.
