In this series of episodes programme maker/presenter Thijs Bonger will make an attempt to rehabilitate Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837). Part II: Hummel has returned to Vienna after a long tour, where he has classes in composition by a.o. Salieri. He earns a living as a piano teacher and as an improvising piano virtuoso he becomes Beethoven’s rival.
