Acoustic Roots guests are the Irish band The Young Folk.
The Young Folk is an Irish band formed around singer-guitarist and songwriter Anthony Furey. This Anthony Furey comes from a musical family. He is the son of George Furey who was part of the famous band The Furey Brothers. Anthony Furey not only has a talent for song writing but also has a beautiful voice and he is not the only one in the band who can sing. In several songs the voices of the band members melt together in beautiful harmonies.

The Young Folk make music of which a part is firmly embedded in the traditions of Irish folk. On the other hand The Young Folk try to give a contemporary twist to this folk.
In the Netherlands the band has already gained some fame by their performance in a TV programme of Nick & Simon. In the spring The Young Folk performed in a full Paradiso in Amsterdam. The band was also the support act of Midlake.
