This month in Acoustic Roots: singer-songwriter Evi Bosman
As we announced in last episode, we returned to the ‘Batavierhuis’ in Rotterdam – a hotbed of creative talent – for more recordings, including these of Evi Bosman. We would sell this ‘Batavian’ short if we only present her as singer-songwriter. She already had a passion for music at a very young age, coming from a musical family. She fell in love with the violin, but now also strums at the guitar, joined by the warm sound of her voice, telling endearing authentic stories. She writes beautiful indie folk songs, and is inspired by songwriters like Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers and Alan Hampton. Evi is also a singing teacher, a choral conductor and much more.
In the pleasant interview with Karin van den Boogaert, Evi tells us more about her passion for music. This episode features Evi singing songs from her debut EP (‘All That Remains’, 2022), and she also performs some new work and a few wonderful cover songs.
