Third stream started in Boston, with side trips to New Orleans and New York. Gunther Schuller, from the New England Conservatory, was one of the movers and shakers of the original movement, along with George Lewis and George Russell. Tonight we hear music of (famous from Weather Report), tunes from a Canadian band named Adamant Shoals, and tracks from the album News for Lulu, performed by the impressive lineup of John Zorn, George Lewis & Bill Frisell.
