A weekday programme about the oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach with producer Govert Jan Bach and host Joop van Zijl.
Episode 283.
This time we were received by harpsichordist, organist and conductor Henk van Zonneveld and he was going to crack a code by Bach.
Henk van Zonneveld thinks there is a Canon code hidden in Die Kunst der Fuge. Henk van Zonneveld wants to show us there is a way out of the chaos of all the performances and conceptions of Kunst der Fuge when you study the original manuscript.
Henk van Zonneveld will play fragments from this piece on his own harpsichord and organ.
Henk van Zonneveld plays fugues from "die Kunst der Fuga" by J.S. Bach, BWV 1080 (spelling ‘Fuga’ is taken from the cover)
The fugues:
1 = thema rectus
4 = thema rectus and inversus with canon en mirror technique
5 = double fuga with thema as cantus firmus
8 = thema rectus and inversus in diminution and augmentation
11 = triple fuga
12 = canon in inversion and augmentation
14b = closing mirror fuga
