Part 2 of a diptych on Guy Béart.
Today we will feature the second, and less successful, part of his career. After 1964 the ‘classic’ chanson got pushed out more and more, under influence of the Anglo-Saxon pop music that gained in popularity in France also. Béart kept on releasing new albums but with longer intervals each time. In 2010 the in the meanwhile 80-year-old released, after a long silence, a cd full of new, up-to-date chansons: ‘La meilleur des choses’.
