Clarinet player Michael Moore has come with a beautiful new quartet: Fragile. We play for you the concert that they gave at Jazz cafe Wilhelmina in Eindhoven on 12 January!
Koen Schouten, reviewer at the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant, wrote:
"To play a super sweet melody in such a way that it hits you very hard, nobody can do that like clarinet and saxophone player Michael Moore. It is never sentimental; it is disarming. Moore assembled a band with pianist Harmen Fraanje and bass player Clemens van der Feen and his drumming buddy Michael Vatcher, resulting in a nice fresh sound. Fraanje adds that touch that is typical for Moore’s music, and plays clever loops at the same time. And what a sound Van der Feen has: abdomen, fluid and smelling like wood."
