Recordings of early music concerts. The next recordings made during the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2013: Vox Luminis and Hopkinson Smith.
The festival theme for 2013 was @Europe, with special attention to 4 composers: Ciconia, Lassus, Froberger and Muffat.
On 31 August 2013, Vox Luminis gave a concert, and three days before that it was lute player Hopkinson Smith.
Here are our concert registrations.
A) During Vox Luminis’ concert, the versatility of the Roland de Lassus, or Orlando di Lasso, can be heard. Among the worldly works of French Roland de Lassus and Italian Orlando di Lasso, are jewels as well as shabby popular songs.
The 11 singers of Vox Luminis are accompanied by keyboard player Masato Suzuki and lute player Jurgen De bruyn.

B) World famous lute player and pioneer of early music Hopkinson Smith was at the Festival Oude Muziek 2013 in Utrecht for a concert at night, and in the programme ‘Dowlands Europa’ he performed music by Robert Ballard, G. G. Kapsberger and of course John Dowland.
