An extra episode with our recording of Kerstspel, a Christmas performance by New Amsterdam Children’s Choir conducted by Ton Koopman. Recorded on Tuesday 22 December 2015 at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam.
Kerstspel is a magical music theatre production where all 300 pupils of the New Amsterdam Children’s Choir (age 4 – 21) sing and perform.
The attractive historical Dutch Christmas music is performed with arrangements by world-famous conductor Ton Koopman.
There is a special part for Dieuwertje Blok, who looks back on these very special events in her life as the older Maria.
