Today’s music by today’s composers. The tuning of the world: Raymond Murray Schafer part 2.
In 1973, Canadian researcher and composer Raymond Murray Schafer and his students made several field recordings in and around Vancouver. In 1996 they repeated this process and compared the results. This episode consists of four reworks of these field recordings and Murray Schafer’s harp concerto, which is heavily influenced by environmental sounds.
