An educational programme with early music. In this episode, as well as the previous one, we dwell on Ensaladas! Part 2: The Water Pump, the Battle and the Fire.

An Ensalada, a ‘salad’ of all sorts of music styles, was released in Spain in the 15th century. A single piece of music contained a range of composed melodies, folk songs and languages. In part 2 you can hear three Ensaladas, and a French version of the Ensalada: a Fricassée.
