1. Barry the Invisible Gorilla
Made possible by the contribution of Productiehuis voor Popcultuur Groningen. There is a large, interesting history of radio traditions when it comes to espionage radio plays.
Think about about the Nederlandse Dubbelspion (‘the Dutch double agent’) by KRO 1963, The X.Y.Y man AVRO 1975, The Mossad EO 1985 – 1990 of Australische Counterspy ABC 1942 – 1957, the American Cloak and Dagger NBC 1950. These radio plays have set a tradition in which the life of a secret agent is constantly active and exciting. On the contrary, the radio play about Barry Ongemoed focuses on the moments in between, when life is rather still.
Furthermore, the internet plays a big part. A world in which fiction and reality are strongly intertwined. When he lets this borderline also disappear in real life, a whole new form of mystery appears. What is true about his memories of his career of espionage?
This radio play sheds a different light on the espionage theme and makes it actual by linking it to the internet. Today’s presence of espionage techniques has become quite clear for everyone and at the same time terrifying. An actual theme with a comical approach.

3. Slowness
Slowness is a conceptual sound of elements of music slowed down beyond recognition with sounds retrieved from violin, vocals, synthesizers and other noise sounds from the city. This sound might be sound of any city you want it to be. Each city has its own unique sound, but anyone who works with the sound knows that every city has a inimitable soundscape. So let’s make a musical journey through the cities. Martin Georgievski is a conceptual artist, sound designer, musician, and graphic designer. Experimenting with different sounds of guitar, synths and field recordings, Macedonian producer Martin Georgievski a.k.a Amplidyne Effect creates an interpolation of ambient, experimental and electronic music, ranging from subtle drones to noise-rock. This is a piece specially produced for RADIA.fm inspired and dedicated to the city.
