#207. Onafhankelijke geluidskunst, radiofonische projecten en andere audio-non-visuele misverstanden en vondsten. Nieuwe Vide Artspace (Haarlem) initiated a project about Samuel Beckett’s radioplay ‘All That Fall’ and invited (a.o.) Natasha Taylor and Lukas Simonis to make a piece about this. The result was a (partly) sound installation in their exposition space and the radioplay that Dr Klangendum is broadcasting on this show called ‘Failing At All That Fall’.
The other part of this broadcast consists of old radiowork by London radio outsider Dan Wilson.
1. Failing At All That Fall.
2. Epistaxis Time – Meadow House. (Dan Wilson).
Jingles by Dr. Klangendum 2.

Failing At All That Fall.
While looking for more information about the radiowork All That Fall (or anything Beckett related for that matter) we (Taylor and Simonis) stumbled across the almost religious truth of the ‘official’ interpretations of the radioplay. Maybe this scrutiny for absoluteness in analysis kills a lot of the fun and curiosity one is inclined to have while reading Beckett.
So we created our own kind of radio drama about the Beckett play, a kind of a study around this desire for explanation, on one hand as a mild parody on aforementioned business, on the other hand taking the Beckett approach in our own hands and adding our personal obsessions and Will To Fail to this.
