We asked our man in La Paz, Mr Kokote, to make us a soundpiece about his whereabouts;
“In this special episode produced and recorded in La Paz, Bolivia, Nicola Kokote shows how is to be an Argentine living in a city which is 4000 metres high. A dizziness induced radio piece full of weird sounds and surprises. From the ancient Andean tunes of the Aymara people to the garage fuzz rock of the psychedelic “psicofasica” era, screw up cumbia tunes, evangelican christian singers and soundscapes of markets and noisy streets of La Paz this piece delivers an unique multi-fi experience which reflects both the earieness and the surrealistic feeling of living in one of the highest cities in the world.”
