Orchestra leader, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899-1974) part 48. In this hour recordings from April 1958 and July 1962 in medium sized ensembles, usually in the form of nonets with three reed instruments, three trombone players and three members of the rhythm section. The trombone section plays a remarkable, but accompanying role in the arrangements.
