Conductor, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899-1974) part 50. Today you will hear the Queens’ Suite from 1959, Ellington’s personal gift to Queen Elizabeth II of England. Then the Latin American Suite from 1968 which Ellington composed after his first visit to South Africa in September that year.
