Ln (Cultural Uprising). When Roland Kuit was recording his string quartet with the FAMA Q in Prague, he met the artist Anja Kaufmann. Talking about the Prague scene of electronic and experimental music the idea for this broadcast was born.
Ln(Cultural Uprising)
The piece of experimental electronica wants to explore specific frequences and is divided in three parts:
1) Middle frequencies.
2) Manifesto Cultural Uprising by Mojmir Pukl.
3) Low frequencies.
The frequencies chosen are based on the Schumann resonance with its frequency of 7,83 Hz put into the human audible spectrum by octave steps. The second specific frequency is 432 Hz, which is said to be the natural frequency of the planet earth. This frequency got standardized to 440 Hz and serves as a general tuning standard for musical pitch. In remembrance of the cultural heritage of the avantgarde composer Erwin Schulhoff, notes of his 10 synkopierte Etüden Hot Music are also part of the composition.
