Folk magazine about the present and the past, from freak folk to minstrels. Today we take a long look at Sardinia, with instrumental music, but mainly vocal music. After a turbulent history, in which Sardinia sometimes was an independent country and other times belonged to other countries like Greece, Spain or Italy, the island now as a somewhat autonomous position within Italy, and has its own language. The vocal music, which is usually performed by small groups of tenors, is also unique. The a capella pieces of these tenors are in this programme alternated with instrumental music played on the launeddas and songs by Maria Carta.
