Folk magazine about the present and the past, from freak folk to minstrels.
Attention goes out to two groups who stand with one foot in Spain and with the other somewhere else. Dusminguet was a Catalan band from La Garriga. They are seen as representatives of the mestizo movement, referring to the children in mixed European-Latin American marriages. The music is also mixed, both textually and musically. In the same period of Dusminguet, Radio Tarifa releases its first CD. Radio Tarifa comes from Tarifa, Southern Spain. This group combines Spanish music (flamenco) with Moroccan and other North African music. Both groups, however, have ceased to exist.
