The American alto saxophone player Julian ‘Cannonball’ Adderley (1928-1975) part 4. In the 50s and 60s he was one of the most prominent hard bop musicians. His energetic and ‘bluesy’ phrasing are still legendary. Today we will hear him with a quartet from 1959 first and next in quintet composition including his brother Nat Addeley on cornet from 1960.
