Part 4 of the series about British composers from the 20th century: Sir Michael Tippett and Sir Arnold Bax.
We will hear Tippett’s Concerto for double String Orchestra from 1939, that is quite popular. From the works of Bax, we will hear his Symphony No. 6 from 1935 that is dedicated to Sir Adrian Boult. It was Bax’ favourite symphony.
