Religious music from different centuries. This episode is dedicated to Eustache du Caurroy (1549-1609), who spent most of his career at the court in Paris. His Requiem will be performed by Doulce Mémoire during the Early Music Festival 2021.
The Requiem by Eustache du Caurroy was performed at the funeral of Henry IV. This Requiem is also performed during the upcoming Early Music Festival of Utrecht by the Doulce Mémoire ensemble, conducted by Denis Raisin Dadre.
This programme features that ensemble, with three psalm settings on French texts, followed by four Latin motets.
