Religious music from all centuries. This episode is dedicated to Easter, with music from the 17th century. Featuring: Heinrich Schütz, his pupil Christoph Bernhard and Thomas Selle.

The first two sections will feature pieces directly related to the events surrounding the resurrection. In the third and final section, we will listen to motets that have a more general relevance to the resurrection.
This episode features three composers: Heinrich Schütz, his pupil Christoph Bernhard and Thomas Selle. Additionally we will listen to an instrumental piece: the eleventh of the ‘Rosary Sonatas’ by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, titled ‘The Resurrection’.
