This episode one major work: the Missa Sanctae Trinitatis from Jan Dismas Zelenka.
This Missa is the first of in total six Masses which he composed between 1736 and 1741. The names of the Masses don’t refer to particular festivities. This Missa is dated 1 November 1736, about half a year after Trinity Sunday (the first Sunday after Pentecost). There are no horns, trumpets or kettledrum in the orchestra. Zelenka used a chalumeau in the Agnus Dei.
