Contemporary music, with today works from the British composer Christian Mason
The 40-year-old Christian Mason recently won the Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition 2025, with a prize money of a 100,000 dollars. He received the award for his installation piece Invisible Threads, which hasn’t been recorded yet. To give you an impression of his work, we play you three pieces of his oeuvre, among which The Years of Light, that features no less than twelve mouth organs playing a very special part.
