Special on Agencement.
Agencement is Hideaki Shimada (1962, Japan). He makes violin improvisations since 1980. In 1985, he started his solo project Agencement, in which he combines several layers of violin improvisations using tape recorders. In live situations, he plays a violin amplified with electronics. Agencement has 2 LPs and 2 CDs released at the label Pico. Untitled (Side 1) is a work from his second LP at that label. Chimère and Meguro are recorded in Gambetta, Tokyo on 18 November 2001. Maceration is on a compilation with Japanese experimental music, which was released at the legendary American label RRR and Cosmoraine is on a noise compilation which is compiled by Michio Teshima; the boss of the Japanese label Vanilla Records.
