Every two-monthly edition of this Dutch-language music magazine comes with a compilation CD. This compilation CD is called “Mind the Gap”. Since the beginning, “Mind the Gap” has documented over 15 years of music history, with compositions varying from heavy industrial to kitschy pop, from fierce trashcore to modern classical ones. The magazine itself provides a lot of background information about the musicians and composers that contribute to the compilation CD. What’s remarkable about GONZO magazine is that it has remained true to its independent and alternative goals. The editorial staff is still averse from commercials influences and pushy record companies. A magazine for the contemporary serious music lover that wants to hear something else for a change. In part 10 we pay attention to the “Mind the Gap”s that have been released in the past year, 2008.
