Orchestral music by Joaquín Turina. He is undoubtedly one of the most well-known Spanish composers.
Around 1910, he was mainly known as a pianist. In addition, he excelled as a music historian, teacher, and critic. He wrote quite a bit of music, especially for his instrument, the piano, but also orchestral works, chamber music, songs, and operas. His music portrays Spanish romanticism, and especially the romanticism of Andalusia.
