James Ginzburg.
Throughout his career, james ginzburg has shown a relentless desire to map the musical landscape’s distant poles. As half of industrial-experimental duo Emptyset he has wrestled with extremes, tearing apart techno and harsh noise frameworks and re-assembling them with endearing passion. Running the Subtext label, he has nurtured artists from across the musical spectrum, from avant jazz composer Yair Elazar Glotman and sound designer Aho Ssan, and acclaimed minimalist Ellen Arkbro, as well as co-running the Arc Light Editions imprint with BBC3 Late junction’s Jennifer Lucy Allan.

Giorgos Hatzinasios.
Having already explored the archives of a number of overlooked Greek composers, Into The Light is now turning its attention to the uncharted territory of Greek film soundtracks of the 70s and 80s – a boom period for mystical, transcendental arthouse cinema in Greece.

Mira Martin-Gray.
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Martin-Gray is an improvising musician, producer and admittedly reluctant composer / sound artist / whatever whose work focuses on devising new methods for creating music accessibly. While her practice typically centers on the manipulation of no-input mixer feedback systems in an effort to to plumb the rich intersections between noise and melody, drone and rhythm, indeterminacy and control, ‘Stick Control’ exists in a strange pocket dimension all its own.

Anaïs Tuerlinckx.
Explorations from within the frame of a broken piano.
Rubbing and tickling strings – with drone-based undercurrents in leviathanic apparitions; squeals of insects,- molluscs and intriguing shells; underwater singing and moaning – the work of Belgian musician and performer Anaïs Tuerlinckx entangles us into a captivating constellation of sound, full of roaring tensions, squeaky flashes and the occasional deep, resounding backwash wave.
Four pieces recorded in one afternoon at the Delta in Namur.
