Hildegard Von Bingen.
Hildegard of Bingen (c. 1098 – 17 September 1179), also known as Saint Hildegard and the Sibyl of the Rhine, was a German Benedictine abbess and polymath active as a writer, composer, philosopher, mystic, visionary, and as a medical writer and practitioner during the High Middle Ages. She is one of the best-known composers of sacred monophony, as well as the most recorded in modern history. She has been considered by scholars to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany.
Sarah Davachi.
Sarah Davachi (b. 1987, Canada) is a composer and performer whose work is concerned with the close intricacies of timbral and temporal space, utilizing extended durations and considered harmonic structures that emphasize gradual variations in texture, overtone complexity, psychoacoustic phenomena, and tuning and intonation. Her compositions span solo, chamber ensemble, and acousmatic formats, incorporating a wide range of acoustic and electronic instrumentation. Similarly informed by minimalist and longform tenets, early music concepts of form, affect, and intervallic harmony, as well as experimental production practices of the electroacoustic studio environment, in her sound is an intimate and patient experience that lessens perceptions of the familiar and the distant.

Akira Rabelais.
An intellectual pioneer as much as anything else, Akira Rabelais issued forth musical creations and inventions from his perch at CalArts. Born and raised in South Texas, one of his childhood pastimes involved shooting metal plates with BB guns so that he could experience the unique sound that it caused. less

Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou.
Born to an aristocratic family in Addis Ababa in December of 1923, Emahoy spent much of her youth and young adulthood studying classical music in Europe. She returned to Ethiopia in the 40s, where the war interrupted her musical studies. In 1948 during a church service in Ethiopia, she found her faith and began years of religious training.
Throughout her physical and spiritual journeys, Emahoy continued to compose for the piano. She first released this album in Germany 1963 as small private press record. The tracks reflect her own travels, seamlessly moving between Western classical and traditional Ethiopian modes, evoking Erik Satie, the orthodox liturgy, and meditative Christian music all at once. Her work is like no one else in the world, lyrical, hypnotic, full of spiritual warmth and a direct connection to the divine.

Romance.
Romance pen an extended love note to Celine Dion, re-imagining the Canadian icon’s cultural locked grooves as a set of post-vaporwave crybient zoners that are part OPN’s timeless “Eccojams”, part “Disintegration Loops” Basinski and part Malibu/DJ Lostboi on ice. Stunnnning, really.

Sarah Davachi & Sean McCann.
Mother of Pearl is the first duo album from composers Sarah Davachi and Sean McCann. Two people, a couple, recording together at home. A slow, autumnal album made with no preconceptions or planning. Intimate, intended for ourselves.
Sessions were captured simultaneously in two ways to build the shared space of perception. Sculpted hesitations made late at night. Short statements of melody are left space to rest and repose. The presence of room tone and the air are characters in all of these recordings – weaving freely within the music.

Sylvain Chauveau & Chant 1450 Renaissance Ensemble.
All pieces of the Renaissance Repertoire come from Cancionero de Colombina (around 1470) or Cancionero de Palacio (around 1510). Both sources are well known for their typical spanish repertoire of this period. Electronic music Artist Sylvain Chauveau did new versions of several tracks and added also some drones to the programme. Daniel Manhart did the compilation and the additional sounddesign and mixing. All pieces of this CD are hardly ever performed or recorded – a fine, sensitive, interesting crossover between Early Music and Contemporary Electronic music with a repertoire mostly unknown.
