Slipped through the net

The ladies of Tara Fuki – a singing and cello playing duo from Czech Republic – prefer to sing in Polish than in their own language. You would think that they would want to sweep the Polish market, but their CDs are not even for sale across the border. Recently there is another Czech artist who sings in Polish, the young singer-songwriter Beata Bocek. Last month she presented herself and her band to an international company of music journalists and festival programmers during the Czech Music Crossroads in Ostrava.
