Musical dove of peace.
The Israelian violin player, oud player and peace activist Yair Dalal personally unites 2 cultures as he descends from a family of Iraqi Jews in Bagdad. In Iraq he is controversial because of his collaboration with Palestinian musicians and Bedouins from the Negev desert. His latest project covers two Jewish traditions: the Babylonic and the Ashkenazic. ‘Lullabies from Exile’ contains cradlesongs of both traditions.
