Passion for Turkey
As the name suggests, multi-instrumentalist Efrén López was born in Spain. However, his love for the Turkish, Greek and Cretan music took him eastward, where he was the apprentice of masters like Erkan Ogur, Mehmet Erenler, Stelios Petrakis and Ross Daly. The CD El Fill del Llop is a huge tribute to the musical traditions that have inspired him. The same passion can be found with percussionists Holger Mertin and Andrea Piccioni, who, out of respect of the Ottoman music, founded the ensemble FisFüz.
