Civilians in the gypsy world.
They are so-called ‘gadjo’ – the Romany word for ‘civilians’ or ‘not from gypsy
origine’ – but their love of gypsy music is in no way inferior.
The result of this passion of the ensemble Parne Gadje [photo] from Wageningen is often remarkable and original. A prominent role is reserved for the bandoneón of Marc Constandse. The Gothenburg Gadjos are from the south of Sweden and are also inspired by blistering funk.
